WT050212-14. 07 BAROLO, VILLA ROSA - (ITALY) 14%. Old time baked nebbiolo aroma, well evolved already. Long in cooperage. Sweetness and glycerol. This all works, actually./ Traditional, baked, sweet, and valid. High acid of nebbiolo. Full but fine tannin. Yeah, this works. Valid form of Barolo, and price-worthy. 16.6+.
Price each (at time of tasting) $26.99

WT050212-15. 09 CASTLE ROCK MENDOCINO ZINFANDEL - (US) 13.5%; blackberry, raspberry, plum, pepper, spice, earth. Fine apple-raspberry-cranberry zinfandel set like many a Dry Creek Valley version./ Very sweet, especially for Mendocino. I like it. 16.3.
Price each (at time of tasting) $9.99

WT050212-16. 11 RHEINGAU RIESLING DRAGONSTONE, LEITZ - (GERMANY) 10.5%. Pretty good grip. Young. Seems less incisive since the change from Rudesheimer Drachenstein to Rheingau. Pretty good extract./ Soft. Lacks some grip. From heavier soil? Or just youthful? Bright peach and apple notes toward the end. Nice enough now, and likely to improve. 16.3+
Price each (at time of tasting) $18.99

WT050212-17. 09 BECHTHEIMER GEWURZTRAMINER SPATLESE, G&M MACHMER - (GER,AMU) 11.5%.Sweet and smoky Hessia gewurz. Rose, tonic, and a hint of charcuterie./ Sweet and right. 09 softness as well as the mild acidity of the variety. Full sweetness of an auslese, really. Another pleasing vintage of this. Will be popular. 16.8.
Price each (at time of tasting) $14.99
