WT021716-2. 14 VALDADIGE PINOT GRIGIO, BARONE FINI - (ITALY) 12.5%. Lightly scented, 2014 crisp; grigio plumpness too. Works./ Medium bodied, and modest in flavor concentration. Only good in this cool, damp 2014 vintage. Preferred the 2012. 16.2.
Price each (at time of tasting) $12.99

WT021716-3. 15 FRANCAIS ROSE PINK PEGAU, LAURENCE FERAUD - (FRANCE MEDITERRANEAN) 12.5%. Sweet smelling and seductive. Spicy. Strawberry and nutmeg./ The nose is ahead of the palate. Currently less flavor and textural development than the nose would suggest. It is a nice and full bodied rose, as it was last year. Maybe even more sumptuous. A few more weeks in bottle will prove rewarding. 16.5+.
Price each (at time of tasting) $18.99

WT021716-4. 13 MORGON GRAND CRU TERRES DOREES, JEAN-PAUL BRUN - (FRANCE BURGUNDY) 12%; fermented by wild yeasts. Full, sweet, lush Morgon take on gamay./ Very rich and savory, spicy. 16.8.

WT021716-6. 11 MONTECUCCO ROSSO, AZ. AGR. BEGNARDI - (ITALY) 13.5%. Something green and corky like. But the closure was not natural cork. Winery issue? Not like this in the 2010 version. Red fruit in the background./ Closed. Not much flavor showing. Abrasive tannin. Wait and see. 14.0++.
Price each (at time of tasting) $14.99

WT021716-7. 11 RUCHE DI CASTAGNOLE MONFERRATO OSEL, CALAMANDRANA - (ITALY) 14%; 100% varietal. Seductive, rangy, exotic, sweet perfume. Sachet. Young and fresh./ Flavorful and gently flowing. Dryness and ring of astringency at the finale render it eminently mealworthy. 17.0.

WT021716-14. 14 MOSEL ESTATE RIESLING, DR. F. WEINS-PRUM - (GERMANY) 11%. Refined and light on its feet. A fine Mittelmosel riesling./ The acid seems low, or masked. Soft. That softness detracts from Mosel riesling's usual textural flair. Used to be a feinherb cuvee. Had more pizzazz as such.16.2+.
