WT122815-1. 14 WAGRAM GRUNER VELTLINER, WEINGUT JOSEF BAUER - (AUSTRIA) 12%. A really full leguminous nose. Great value. Everyday gruve for all sorts of table settings. Love it!/ Fat and full, and full flavored. Put it right to work...often. 16.6.
Price each (at time of tasting) $11.99

WT122815-2. 14 VERDICCHIO DEI CASTELLI DI JESI CLASSICO, SOC. AGR. SARTARELLI - (ITALY) 12.5%. Tries its best to be the usual full bodied Sartarelli take on verdicchio, but 2014's cool, wet growing season seems to have cut it short. However, it begins to swell up with aeration./ Some fatness on entry, but the center is hollow, and the finish short and bitter. Maybe it was just shipped. Try again later. 15.4 for now.
Price each (at time of tasting) $14.99

WT122815-3. 14 PICPOUL DE PINET HB, LES COSTIERES DE POMEROLS - (FRANCE MEDITERRANEAN) 12.5%. Full of good green picpoul stuff. Tingly, nettly, peppery nip./ Full flavor range for this varietal. Green herbs, nuts, balsamic, spices. 16.7.

WT122815-4. 14 CORVIDAE MIRTH YAKIMA VALLEY CHARDONNAY - (U.S.) 13%. Admirable balance of wood and fruit. Less developed than the 2013 tasted a couple of weeks back, but ultimately the better wine, I predict. I like the freshness and the balance. Not WA tart./ Young, and still showing some wood and fruit astringency. Just shipped. Will evolve in a positive way over the coming weeks. 16.2+.
Price each (at time of tasting) $11.99

WT122815-5. 10 POUILLY FUISSE, HENRY FESSY - (FRANCE BURGUNDY) 13%. Starts out a straight forward chardonnay of Pouilly Fuisse, and, surprisingly, not at all mature. Grows in texture as it airs. Say, this is a good buy in P-F./ Some oak dimension. Again, straight forward, legit. Better than expected. 16.1+.
Price each (at time of tasting) $18.99

WT122815-6. 13 GROVE MILL WAIRAU VALLEY PINOT NOIR - (NEW ZEALAND) 13%. Oh, a really pretty, cool climate example. Bright cherry pastille aroma./ Crisp, flavorful, tart. All fruit, no tea. Ideal food wine. 16.7.
Price each (at time of tasting) $16.99

WT122815-7. 14 CHIANTI COLLI SENESI, TENUTA DI TRECCIANO - (ITALY) 12.5%. The richness of CS and the elegance of Trecciano. A special combination of barrel aged character, sweet cherry, and dried cherry./ Dense, tarry, black, dry. Different messages than the nose sends. Both sides are attractive, the nose inviting now, the palate suggesting more bottle age will benefit it. 16.5+.
Price each (at time of tasting) $14.99

WT122815-8. 13 CHIANTI CLASSICO TERRE DI PRENZANO, VILLA VIGNAMAGGIO - (ITALY) 13%; birthplace of Mona Lisa, 1479. Sweet, mild mannered, and 13 crisp./ Medium bodied. Firm figured, neat. Greve, northern Classico race. The group favored this Chianti over the former. 15.9+.

Price each (at time of tasting) $16.99

WT122815-10. 13 MONTEPULCIANO D’ABRUZZO RISERVA TRALCETTO, AZ. AGR. ZACCAGNINI - (ITALY) 13%. The usual spicy, zesty take, but young and showing less barrel age character than usual. Maybe just shipped. With aeration, cherry and dried fruits, citron./ Racy palate, showing barrel time suavity. Medium bodied. Filling with aeration. We usually taste these after more bottle aging. 16.4+.

Price each (at time of tasting) $14.99

WT122815-15. 14 FRANCAIS SUD OUEST GROS MANSENG - SAUVIGNON BLANC VILLA CHAMBRE D’AMOUR, LIONEL OSMIN - (FRANCE BORDEAUX) 10.5%. Good, crisp sauvignon against plump gros manseng. Sort of like the sauvignon-semillon Bordeaux pairing. Except gros manseng is peachier than semillon. Another good vintage of this./ Both sweet and tangy demi-sec blanc. Unique. Always works. 16.6+.
