- (SPAIN) 13%; estate bottled; callet, mantonegro, syrah, and merlot. Deep, dark essence of black cherry. Pitchy concentration. Unique./ Palate lets up on the pedal a little. Still, this is intense stuff, with well managed tannin, so it makes a balanced presentation. I'm sure it's age-worthy. I'm curious about what sort of bouquet it will achieve. Additional flavor and texture contributions of pinuela and rufete, although I can't pinpoint their characteristics. Wears its power well. There's no heat. A worthwhile undertaking, I'd venture.
