(WT052621-01) ANDRE CLOUET BOUZY GRAND CRU THE V.6 EXPERIENCE BRUT CHAMPAGNE  $49.99
05/26/21 Wednesday Group Tasting Notes
- (SPARKLING) 12%; all pinot noir; 80% 2012; 20% reserves consisting of 50% 2008, 37.5% 2005, 25% 2004, 12.5% 2002; bottled spring 2013; 6 yrs en tirage before disgorgement; .5 RS. How about this! The black fruit of Bouzy blanc de noirs, for sure. A lively combination of 2012 fruit (about the most engaging and harmonious of recent years) and decided input from the reserve cuvees adding depth, complexity, and dimension./ The mousse is very fine. The play of 2012 with the reserves is both intellectually and sensually stimulating. Long finish extends the welcome experience. 18.1.

- (FRANCE LOIRE) 12%; Raphael Luneau, 9th generation; Alain Junguenet selection. That's alert, alive and brimful of fruit. Just surges forth in an eager to please manner./ Full and round on the palate. Some peels astringency and a metallic ring on the finish. A singular Muscadet. 16.9.

(WT052621-03) 19 PETIT CHABLIS, DOMAINE SEGUINOT-BORDET  $22.99
05/26/21 Wednesday Group Tasting Notes
- (FRANCE BURGUNDY) 12.5%; est 1590; 25-35 yr old vines on Kimmeridgian limestone facing south/southeast. Wow, quite the contrast. Especially full for a Petit Chablis. The terroir suggests Chablis rather than Petit. Apple, pear, calcaire. Fully accomplished./ Palate confirms body and flavor amplitude. Good if not great acidity. Long, pleasing aftertaste. 17.0.

(WT052621-04) 19 GRIGNOLINO D'ASTI ISOLAVILLA, TENUTA OLIM BAUDA  $17.99
05/26/21 Wednesday Group Tasting Notes
- (ITALY) 13%; 65 yr old vines in sandy white marl. Appropriately light color. I've seen darker roses./ Strawberry and cola aromas. Fresh, bright, spot on./ Very tasty. Surprising amount of tannin in back probably precludes serving it chilled this summer. Great acidity. Many food options now, plus a few months for tannin resolution a good option. 16.5+.

(WT052621-06) 18 MARSANNAY EN COMBEREAU, DOMAINE COLLOTTE  $37.99
05/26/21 Wednesday Group Tasting Notes
- (FRANCE BURGUNDY) 13%; each of these 3 vineyards is proposed for Premier Cru; 50+ yr old vines in Couchey on crinoidal limestone; Peter Weygandt selection. Firmer. Darker disposition. Less inviting and more cellar-worthy. Plenty of material here./ Sweet 2018 fruit evident, while more is held back in reserve. Again, the barrel aging adds extra dimension. 17.0+.

More high toned fruit and barrel tones evident. Large scale and ambitious./ Oh, it all comes out on the palate too: a peacock's tail of flavor variations. Great savor and texture too. Always a choice Marsannay site from my experience. Breathless. 17.8+.
