BXL-249. 07 COTES DE GASCOGNE GROS MANSENG, DOM CASSAGNOLES
Starts out on the shy side, but, later, plenty of fruit surges forth. Green apple, melon, orange peel, stone, spice./ The palate shows more richness from the get-go yet remains well measured, well delineated. This is really starting to deliver now. Sassy, stimulating edginess. Great texture. Aftertaste sings of pear and tangerine. 90+/100.
How Many bottles/singles: 11.99 each

BXL-250. 08 COTES DE GASCOGNE, DOM PELLEHAUT
Lots of cool peach and peel. And nectarine. Tingles the nostrils./ Crisp pear, lemon, and mineral tang. Fresh, brisk, lively, stimulating acidity. Some astringency too. A young 08 and not yet as settled in as some of its peers. Fruit richness grows with aeration. Enjoy now for its raciness. Follow over the next few months for additional fruit fulfillment. 91+/100.
How Many bottles/singles: 8.99 each

BXL-251. 08 COTES DE GASCOGNE, SAN DE GUILHEM
Ahh! Ooh! Intense stuff! Full and dry. Rich in dry matter, extract. So many of these 08 Euro whites are like that. Low yields?. Nicely burnished texture you can feel in the nostrils./ Yes, this is the fullest in extract, the most textured, the least soft of any vintage yet. Form, balance, refreshment. Truly dry and really loaded. Wow! 91/100.
How Many bottles/singles: 8.49 each

BXL-252. 06 COTES DE GASCOGNE GROS MANSENG NUIT D’AUTOMNE, SAN DE GUILHEM
Pretty pear-melon gros manseng with nectar forming as it airs./ Yes, the nectar marks it nice and ripe gros manseng. Good acid too. Balanced and succulent. Ideal example. Light R.S. will not interfere with mealtime service. Try with pates. 91/100.
How Many bottles/singles: 9.99 each

BXL-253. 06 CAHORS, CLOS LA COUTALE (Limited Stock)

How Many bottles/singles: 15.99 each

BXL-254. 06 CAHORS HERITAGE, CH DE CEDRE
Dense, burnished fruits with meaty aspects and rich reserve. Plum, blackberry, licorice, tobacco, tar. The usual oakiness to this cuvee, well integrated./ The palate is even more giving than the nose. And it’s very stylish–unusually charming for Cahors. This has real substance and build for 06. I’ll bet time in cooperage has helped to fill it out. Good future; better in 2-3 years. Best 06 Cahors we’ve tasted? Very popular with the group. 90+/100.
How Many bottles/singles: 17.99 each

BXL-255. 07 CAHORS, CROIX DU MAYNE

BXL-261. 05 CAHORS MALBEC PIGMENTUM, G VIGOUROUX
Fresh, vigorous, peppery, snappy, cool, licorice laced, black fruited. I.E. real Cahors./ Racy, peppery 05 style. Good acidity. Good potential. Somewhat of a modern style. Vigouroux is said to have produced this to compete with the Argentine malbecs. It shows some of that direction but still retains French acidity, style, and structure. This will sell well. 90+/100.
How Many bottles/singles: 9.99 each

BXL-262. 04 PACHERENC CUVEE NOVEMBRE, A BRUMONT half liter (HL)
The real deal. Honey, flower nectar, pear nectar, apricot, lime, pineapple, guava./ Luxuriant, but also sleek and graceful. Good acid vigor. Long and deep, finely balanced. Plenty of give. Exquisite charm and breeding. 95/100.
How Many bottles/singles: 25.99 each

BXL-263. 07 PACHERENC SEC LE JARDIN DE BOUCASSE, BRUMONT
All petit coubu. Unique, fresh, incisive. Sauvignon like but without as much pungence. Very clear and crisp./ 07 fresh and tender fruit up front (melon, mango) countered by crisp edge. Superb petit coubu acidity, vigor. Plus there’s a real sense of richness, waxiness, and density. Long and clinging. This is certainly fresher than the 05, and better for it. Though the 05 was not over the hill by any means. 91/100.
How Many bottles/singles: 13.99 each

BXL-264. 06 MONBAZILLAC, CH BELINGARD
Sweet nose of honey, pineapple, green fig, and apricot. Positively Gironde like./ Sweet peach juice, vanilla frosting, and honeysuckle flavors. Lush, liquoreuse 06 style. Firm, youthful carriage. BXL-267. 07 MADIRAN TORUS, BRUMONT
How Many bottles/singles: 13.99 each

BXL-268. 06 MADIRAN ARGILE, BRUMONT
Very dark and beautiful. The fruit is sweet too. Has depth, has clarity. Lovely fruit expression for young tannat./ Dark berries, tobacco, suggestion of oak. Good solidity without going overboard; it’s not mean. Very uplifting for a wine of clay (argile) origins. Would expected it to be more ponderous, heavy. Instead, it’s a great beauty with a wonderful future too. 92+/100.
How Many bottles/singles: 23.99 each

BXL-269. 04 MADIRAN TANNAT-PINENC, SANTAT!
Typical tannat and 04 darkness. Almost medicinal–but in a positive way. Intense. Cherry of tannat./ Pinenc adds a nice softness of texture–a real asset alongside tannat if you don’t want to age the wine forever. 90+/100.
How Many bottles/singles: 11.99 each

BXL-270. 05 JURANCON MANSENG MOULLEUX, SANTAT!
Very lush, honeyed, lemony (that’s petit manseng!), nectarous, classic. Very intense. Extraordinary value. Would expect to pay $35 at least to get a nose like this./ Great manseng acidity as well sweet, nectarous richness. Large, broad, and lip smacking good. Huge value. 94+/100.
How Many bottles/singles: 18.99 each

BXL-271. 05 GAILLAC, CH DE SAURS
Mirrors Bordeaux for its elegance, refinement. On the divide between Atlantic and Mediterranean France. This one leans west. Good fruit quality. What varietals? Well, it’s 25% each duras, fer servadou, syrah, and merlot. So you have local and east and west together./ Sweet dark berries. Plenty of cassis. Peppercorn nip. Good ripeness, which isn’t often the case with Gaillac rouge. This is a good source though. 91+/100.
How Many bottles/singles: 15.99 each
