BXL-262. 06 CAHORS HERITAGE, CH DE CEDRE Dense, burnished fruits with meaty aspects and rich reserve. Plum, blackberry, licorice, tobacco, tar. The usual oakiness to this cuvee, well integrated./ The palate is even more giving than the nose. And it’s very stylish–unusually charming for Cahors. This has real substance and build for 06. I’ll bet time in cooperage has helped to fill it out. Good future; better in 2-3 years. Best 06 Cahors we’ve tasted? Very popular with the group. 90+/100.
How Many bottles/singles: 17.99 each

Solid, dense black fruits and berries, well extracted. Hint of wood char./ Chewy, tarry, well extracted. Especially for 07. Grip and material. Big. Young. Loaded. As in the case of another recent 07 Cahors, this emulates the success of the Med vintage rather than the shortcomings of Bordeaux’s. There are some older vintages still available too, including 2005. 91+/100.
How Many bottles/singles: 15.99 each

Very popular with the group. 91+/100.
How Many bottles/singles: 15.99 each
BXL-270. 05 CAHORS MALBEC PIGMENTUM, G VIGOUROUX Fresh, vigorous, peppery, snappy, cool, licorice laced, black fruited. I.E. real Cahors./ Racy, peppery 05 style. Good acidity. Good potential. Somewhat of a modern style. Vigouroux is said to have produced this to compete with the Argentine malbecs. It shows some of that direction but still retains French acidity, style, and structure. This will sell well. 90+/100.
How Many bottles/singles: 9.99 each

Very clear and crisp./ 07 fresh and tender fruit up front (melon, mango) countered by crisp edge. Superb petit coubu acidity, vigor. Plus there’s a real sense of richness, waxiness, and density. Long and clinging. This is certainly fresher than the 05, and better for it. Though the 05 was not over the hill by any means. 91/100.
How Many bottles/singles: 13.99 each

BXL-277. 07 MADIRAN TORUS, BRUMONT

BXL-278. 06 MADIRAN ARGILE, BRUMONT Very dark and beautiful. The fruit is sweet too. Has depth, has clarity. Lovely fruit expression for young tannat./ Dark berries, tobacco, suggestion of oak. Good solidity without going overboard; it’s not mean. Very uplifting for a wine of clay (argile) origins. Would expected it to be more ponderous, heavy. Instead, it’s a great beauty with a wonderful future too. 92+/100.
How Many bottles/singles: 23.99 each
BXL-279. 05 JURANCON MANSENG MOULLEUX, SANTAT! Very lush, honeyed, lemony (that’s petit manseng!), nectarous, classic. Very intense. Extraordinary value. Good ripeness, which isn’t often the case with Gaillac rouge. This is a good source though. 91+/100.
