This is a Walkaround style tasting of about half the wines offered on the current Ann Arbor Wine Club Sale. We are increasing the percentage of wines at the tasting with the aim of eventually presenting ALL of them for your perusal. In the neighborhood of 80 wines from most of the major wine-producing areas of the world are usually on the Wine Club offering, so this tasting is a good opportunity to sample a wide range of wines. The wines at the tasting are numbered to correspond to the annotated listing published in the AAWC newsletter and arrayed around the room on long tables and tasters "walk around" the room sampling the wines (see why we call it a walkaround?). Dump buckets (what an inelegant term!) are provided at each table and tasters are encouraged to spit rather than drink. Tasters are also encouraged to take small samples rather than glassfuls and discard any excess after tasting. After all, the idea is to SAMPLE the wines.

A buffet of hot and cold foods and bread accompanies.

Membership in Ann Arbor Wine Club is a free benefit of membership in Tasters Guild. Members, PLEASE bring your newsletter to use as a tasting sheet. A limited number of extra newsletters will be available at the tasting for new or prospective or forgetful members. Memberships may be obtained or renewed at the tasting.
